How I will be handling funeral ceremonies in response to Coronavirus/Covid-19.

As your funeral celebrant I can continue to provide compassionate support and care to you and your family during the current Coronavirus crisis.

For the time being my family meetings will now be conducted remotely by whichever digital platform is convenient to you whether that be Zoom, Skype, WhatsApp and of course by phone and email.

Currently most Crematoria in England are allowing up to 30 attendees. Any family and friends unable to attend can watch the service via live streaming with the suggestion of a memorial service held at a later date once we are free of the Coronavirus pandemic and we are all able to meet together again.

To protect everyone involved at the funeral ceremony mourners are requested to wear face coverings, sanitise hands on arrival and practice social distancing by sitting apart in the chapel.

Understandably it is difficult to have a wake or reception at this given time and following the funeral an alternative way to connect as a collective could be going for a memorial walk so you can all share and reflect your experiences.

This guidance remains under review and continues to be updated in line with the changing situation but however I am able, I am here to support and guide you at this difficult time. Covid-19 is having such a profound effect on our daily lives and the way in which we are grieving and I know this may feel heartbreaking and difficult to accept.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any queries or concerns. You can always reach me on 07957 222501.

Stay safe,
